We are honored to welcome Obinna Adiele to the panel of judges for the Chinwe Russell Art Prize 2025. A highly acclaimed contemporary Nigerian artist, Obinna brings his exceptional sculptural expertise and deep artistic insight to the judging process.
A graduate of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at Abia State University, Uturu (2012), Obinna specializes in steel wire sculptures, an intricate and captivating medium through which he brings his artistic visions to life. His works are profoundly inspired by his surroundings, and each piece is designed to speak to and engage the viewer, evoking thought and emotion.
Obinna has gained recognition on both national and international platforms, having participated in the prestigious Transcultural Exchange 2020 Hello World Exhibition, along with numerous national exhibitions that have solidified his place in Nigeria’s vibrant art scene.
Renowned for his mastery in steel bending, Obinna crafts sculptures that not only tell compelling stories but also serve as statement pieces, adding prestige and sophistication to any location. His dedication to excellence and innovation in his practice makes him a valuable addition to our esteemed panel of judges.
