Harvest at Cusworth Hall - 3
This painting was inspired by a visit to Cusworth hall in Doncaster. They invited the general public to come and harvest the fruits in their orchard and I went alongwith my family. It was a free for all. The apple trees were treated in all manner of ways, climbed, shook, branched pulled, all in a bid to get the juicy apples at the top. I came away with 3 bags full mind you, but I could not help but feel pity for these poor defenseless trees who had no way of defending themselves nor their offsprings. And so I decided to do something about this. I rewrote the narrative.
